Radio frequency identification (RFID) technology has emerged as a key technology for automatic identification and tracking applications; and asset management is one of the potential applications. Efficient asset management is among the important factors for the effective running of any organization. Asset management using the RFID can reduce human errors, increases efficiency, flexibility and saves time. This paper describes the implementation of RFID middleware for asset management application using JADE multi-agent software platform. The multi-agent based middleware system is responsible for processing and managing the data produced by the RFID system for asset management applications.
