An automatic ultrasonic testing system for forging is developed based on virtual instrument. Using FPGA as the core chip, an automatic ultrasonic testing system hardware for forging based on virtual instrument is designed and the corresponding software is compiled, using NI's LabVIEW virtual instrument development platform for designing and developing the testing system software modules in host computer. The system can detect automatically the forging, collect, store, process and analyze echo signals. The system has strong applicability, good scalability and wide application.
