A new ACSE (Association Control Service Element) protocol for multimedia communications is designed and analyzed. The proposed protocol (C-MACSE) adopts a comprehensive approach for quality of service (QoS) and provides services for the establishment and management of multimedia associations among spatially dispersed users, considering QoS issues related with the network and the operating system frameworks
