The design for a Si wire waveguide wavelength filter using Bragg grating and a coupler composed of branching asymmetric width waveguides is reported. The coupler is tolerant against waveguide width deviation and shows wide working wavelength range. The device is designed for optical network units used in fibre to the home systems.
