In order to accomplish the self-management of the satellite integrated information network, policy is introduced into the network management and based on the characteristics of the nodes' high-dynamic and long transmission delay between the satellite and the ground station, this paper establishes a new policy-based hierarchical distributed architecture in which two new policy layers called domain policy server and local policy server are added between policy enforcement point and global policy server. The domain policy server and local policy server are placed in the sub-management stations and the satellites with management functions respectively to share the management tasks for the center management station. The simulation results show that the transmission delay caused by repeated policy requests of policy enforcement point is reduced in the new architecture, which improves the efficiency of the network management.
