In this paper, we present SMART, a computational tool based on Manas, that supports designers in identifying potential negative social impacts the collaborative system may have on its users. To do so, the designer describes the communicative model the system will provide among users and identifies potential problems that are then analyzed by the designer. Two evaluations of SMART were conducted and indicate that the benefits that may result from using this tool.
