Web services are a service-oriented architecture that has gradually advanced in recent years. Offering such benefits as protocol interoperability, complete independence from platforms and languages, and high degree of loose coupling, they have become an increasingly important way for seamless application integration. Coupling the characteristics of remote sensing data and genera l principles for designing sharing systems, the authors of this paper will advance an open data storage integration model and service model based on open specifications and protocols, put forward the design for a sharing platform and data notes based on web services in a distributed environment and illustrate key technologies and innovative features for this platform.
