In order to facilitate HDF data conversion, reading and writing, a system which can read, write and complete HDF file operations is designed and developed using a large number of functions and tools of IDL interactive language. Some functions include including reading all the HDF attribute name, reading a particular variable information and writing data, global properties and variable attributes to the file. Furthermore, the visualization system is designed to achieve basic operation of remote sensing images and simple remote sensing image processing functions using IDL language.
