One important aspect of software engineer is its process. Software development is an iterative feedback and modification process, like a closed-loop control system. We study the software process using process control theory such as feedback feed-forward and cascade control etc. Through using these methods and building the model of the software development process, we can easily understand the pros and cons of different process methods and can analyze software process qualitatively and quantitatively.
