This paper proposes a dual space diversity technique using Space Time Block Code (STBC) and mode group diversity multiplexing (MGDM) in 10 Gbit/s 1km optical multi-mode fiber (MMF) communication system. The simulation results demonstrate that system based on STBC-MGDM achieves better performance than that only employing MGDM in current systems.
