In reseach on industrial Ethernet network for network based-control systems, delay time on the whole network is always attended. In order to reduce the end-to-end delay time, this paper proposes an algorithm to distribute network devices into sub-networks by optimising the intra-network communication through federal switch and minimising the worst case of end-to-end delay time. There are also the illustrative example result to perform for this algorithm.
