In this paper, electromechanical modeling and simulation of large-scale grid-connected photovoltaic systems developed on commercial simulation software are introduced. Characteristics of PV cells and typical grid-connected control strategies are analyzed and modeled in details. In the end, the compared simulation results of transient stability between conventional generator and PV plant are presented.
