A technique for achieving simultaneous beam steering and low sidelobe levels in time-modulated linear arrays is presented. The technique relies solely on time switching of the array elements and does not require the use of additional amplitude weighting. Numerical examples based on a 16 element linear array are presented to illustrate the approach.
