HC emission statistical features have a great effect on evaluating and controlling the pollution caused by vehicle harmful emission. Using large sample measurement, multiple parameter data analysis and mathematical modeling, the idle HC emission statistical features and statistical laws of three typical type passenger cars have been researched. The distributive parameters of HC emission have been estimated, and the mathematical models, which can exactly describe HC emission statistical features and statistical laws, have been established. The results of checking computation have proved the validity of the research method and results. At the same time, the suggestion have also been proposed to revise the relevant limit values of Chinese national standard about in-use passenger cars exhaust pollutant.
