This paper proposes a algorithm of improving the resolution of seismic signals by using matching pursuit decomposition and wavelet packet method. The algorithm adopts to add to the function factor before Time-frequency element and the transformation of wavelet packet decomposition rate of the conjugate filter to achieve the purpose of improving resolution. Experimental results show that the signal of high frequency increased in the decomposition and synthesis process, and greatly improve the resolution of the seismic signal.
