In order to monitor and analyse the competitive environment of businesses, we propose to integrate the Five Forces framework and a SWOT (Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities, Threats) analysis in a decision support system model called MinEDec (Mining Environment for Decisions), which is supported by text-mining technologies.
