E-learning plays an important role in higher education. The objective of the paper was to design an e-learning system for China's nonstastical students to increase their knowledge of statistics. The paper presented a case study describing the development of an e-learning system of statistics in China. The outcome of the paper is an e-learning system which can provide more friendly and effective ways for China's nonstastical students to increase their knowledge of statistics and improve the quality of the statistical education in China. But the problems which may arise in e-learning systems are still manyfold. This paper made an attempt to address the fundamental issues of the efficient designing and use of e-learning platforms in teaching statistics.
