Grid Computing is about sharing of the resources and provides the facility to access the shared resources by allocation, virtualization and management. To utilize the heterogeneous resources, resource provisioning and scheduling is required. Resources can be effectively provisioned on the basis of QoS parameters. Further scheduling of resources can be done based on provisioned resources. In this paper, a survey of resources provisioning and grid scheduling issues has been presented. Along with this challenges related to resource provisioning, scheduling and their future directions, also detailed solution for addressing some of the challenges have been suggested.
