Forward link performance of data services has been evaluated in cellular CDMA network by incorporating low density parity check (LDPC) codes in presence of soft handoff. This scheme is found to enhance throughput while reducing delay and packet error rate significantly. A stop and wait ARQ has been assumed in link layer. Both the cases of coded and uncoded data transmission are investigated.
