Orthogonal sequency division multiplexing (OSDM), which is based on orthogonal Walsh functions, has been proposed as an alternative multicarrier technique. This technique can easily be combined with the DS-CDMA capabilities and the RAKE reception in combating multipath effect. We investigate the performance of OSDM with maximal-ratio combining RAKE receiver under multipath, slowly Rayleigh fading and frequency selective channel with exponential multipath intensity profile. Both the results from analysis and simulation indicate that this scheme is a hopeful candidate for the broadband data transmission
