This paper describes a novel solution to Web service composition. The method integrates semantics and agent technology, and service composition is a hierarchical task decomposition process based on domain ontology and behavior-driven patterns. The main steps in the composition process are introduced in detail, which are: (1) an extension of semantics described by extended OWLS ontology. (2). an extended agent architecture based-on BDI. (3) an automatic service composition system integrating semantics and agent technology.
