This paper studies the fuzzy comprehensive evaluation problem through group decision-making, in which the information about factor weights is completely unknown. A model is proposed to determine factor weights based on a maximized deviation. To demonstrate the method proposed in this paper, a case study, i. e. books selecting problem is analyzed by this model, showing that the model is easily applied to group decision-making comprehensive evaluation and that result is of applicability in that factor weights are determined based on a maximized deviation without being influenced by decision-makers.
