Considering that the fault current component is not affected by the normal load current and the high order multi-resolution singular entropy can mine the characteristics of the fault current component effectively, a practical fault phase selection method based on the high order multi-resolution singular entropy of the current fault component is presented, which provides a solution for the intelligent fault handling. Finally, all kinds of fault conditions are verified by simulation. The fault phase selection process is simple and reliable, and the results indicate that the fault phase selection method is effective and feasible.
