This paper deals with the problem of synchronization of two hyperchaotic Chen systems subject to parameter uncertainties. To investigate the stability of the error dynamical system and facilitate the design of the controller, T-S fuzzy model is employed to represent the dynamics of the hyperchaotic system and the parallel distributed compensation (PDC) technique is applied to design the fuzzy state feedback controller. By virtue of Lyapunov stability theory, a sufficient condition for synchronization is derived to aid the design of the fuzzy controller. The gain matrices can be obtained by solving a set of linear matrix inequalities (LMIs). Numerical simulation results show that the proposed method can realize synchronization of two hyerchaotic Chen systems with different T-S fuzzy model representation.
