With the quick expansion of urban area and the rapid growth of urban population, the problem of urban management has recently drawn much attention by research institutes and social organizations in recent years. It calls for a large amount of corresponding information for urban ecological and order management, and it is hard to gather, manage and process them. Therefore, this paper presents a web-based information system to manage public facilities and environmental incidents in communities, which permits the acquisition, integration, analysis and handling of spatial and temporal data of the public facilities and environmental incidents, thus helps the local government to make decision. At last, the application of the proposed information system is evaluated through a case study.
