For features of Chinese string matching, considered encoding rules in the Internet application layer protocols, introduce a novel improved string matching algorithm. This algorithm on the foundation of BM algorithm, according to URL encoding features of the Chinese characters, takes full advantage of the information when a mismatch occurs, to increase the range of jumping back, reduces the number of comparisons, and enhances the match speed. The experiment shows this improved algorithm enhances efficiency by approximately 30% comparing to the BM algorithm under the Chinese boundary.
