As one of the main purposes, SWS (Semantic Web Services) is proposed to ensure automatic service discovery. However, a dedicated semantic registry for SWS publication and discovery is still desired. Therefore, we propose a mechanism and implement it as registry prototype for SWS. In the paper, first, we discuss the features of the mechanism. Next, design the architecture of the registry. Then, we present the algorithm of SWS publication and discovery in details. Finally, we test it repeatedly with OWLS-TC3 and point out its highlighted merits. In fact, prototype proves to be an effective method compared to existing approaches.
