Regeneration model of three-dimensional (3D) stochastic road provides rich resources for virtual prototyping (VP) and virtual proving ground (VPG) of vehicles. Based on the power spectral density (PSD) function of grade standard road, the road model of 3D in time domain was constructed by using the harmonic superposition method, the inverse fast Fourier transform (IFFT) method based on discretized PSD and the time series AR model method. For non-grade road without a specific PSD, the time domain model was built by using time series AR model method based on actual sampling data. The digital regeneration of road model built by two different technologies is highly consistent with the time domain characteristics of actual roads. The 3D road model provides excitation input data from road irregularities for the road and the ground testing, the virtual prototyping and riding dynamics of vehicles.
