A multi-view video coding exploits inter-view correlation between cameras to improve the coding efficiency. However multi-view video coding has a problem of having higher complexity compared to the single-view video coding due to the above property. In this paper, we propose a fast mode decision using region analysis to reduce the computational complexity of the encoding process. Experimental results shows that computational time of about 15% ~ 22% was saved compared to the JMVC 3.0. And it has only negligible coding efficiency losses.
