Software development today is typically a team effort with team members in different geographical places. You might regret that teamwork isn't what it used to be, but you also might want to look toward technologies and tools that support distributed teamwork. Authors Javier Portillo Rodriguez, Aurora Vizcaino, and I provide an overview of such technologies with many tools examples, starting with technologies such as Jazz and then showing how users can orchestrate individual tools in a distributed context.
