In this paper we present the results of performance analysis of a GOWMAX CFAR detector in non homogenous environment. The study is made for radar targets of Swerling I type embedded in white Gaussian noise. The results are presented in terms of probability of detection and false alarm. Also we expose the algorithm considered and the results obtained for its implementation on DSK 6711 card using a DSP TM320C6711 processor.
