Eight simply supported dry-mixed self-compacting concrete (DSCC) beams and two normal concrete beams were tested and flexural behavior of the tested DSCC beams (including deflection, strain and crack) were studied. The results showed that water ratio and coarse aggregate ratio played important role in deformation performance and bearing capacity of flexural members. Deflection and maximum crack width of DSCC beams were greater than these of ordinary concrete beams in the same reinforcement ratio and the same load. Finally, deformation performances of the flexural members were theoretically analyzed. The analyzed results showed that the mid-span deflection of DSCC beams can be estimated by the suggested formula of present Code for Design of Concrete Structures (GB50010-2002) but inclined safety, whereas the calculated maximum crack width can not.
