The article discusses the concept, specialties and architecture about grid and analyzes the application of grid technology in digital library alliances information service. At the same time, the paper puts forward a cooperative service model of digital library alliances. A service chain for digital library is blessed with the advantages of search engines and library, and thus can provide well-suited, high efficient and integrated information and knowledge services for customers.
