In order to control artificial and natural lighting automatically, an intelligent residential lighting control system based on ZigBee wireless sensor network and fuzzy controller is designed. The ZigBee wireless sensor network is used to collect the environmental data and transmit the lighting control signal. The environmental data are taken as input variables of fuzzy controller, and the fuzzy control rule database is established for the fuzzy lighting control system. The fuzzy control of residential lighting is realized. The system has many advantages, such as practical, economic, and energy saving. Especially, this system is quite appropriate for family application.
