This paper presents a novel and accurate design of permanent magnet excitation transverse flux linear motor (TFLM) with inner mover type. This configuration leads to increase in the power density of the moving part. The magnetic field of TFLM is analysed by three-dimensional finite-element analysis (3D FEA) using ANSYS software. The proposed method is used for studying the variation of the geometrical dimensions, electrical parameters and their effects on the traction and normal force. The simulation results of the proposed method are then compared with both of the experimental measurements detected on the experimental setup, and another 3D FEA old model. The comparison is presented to demonstrate the validity and high accuracy of 3D FEA detailed new model.
