This paper aims at establishing connections between Sugeno fuzzy integral (1974) and flexible queries addressed to usual relational databases. It is shown that if an appropriate measure is chosen, the Sugeno fuzzy integral covers a broad range of queries including the use of logical connectives, fuzzy quantified statements and the division of fuzzy relations. In addition, a semantic view of Sugeno fuzzy integral is suggested in terms of α-cuts of a fuzzy set and fulfillment of a given property
