An integrated high-efficiency dual-output switched-capacitor (SC) DC-DC converter was presented. The converter is capable of synchronously providing a buck output voltage channel and a boost channel with shared three fly capacitors and a switch-array. Fully digital state machine controller and gain-hopping regulation technique endued the converter with high power efficiency, fast transient response and system steadiness. The converter was designed and simulated in TSMC 0.35 μm CMOS process, and Spectre simulation showed that the converter can generate steady output voltages of 5 V and 1.8 V with maximum efficiency up to 90%, and result in 10% higher efficiency than conventional fixed gain regulation.
