The application-oriented training mechanism are discussed in this paper. Recently, with the National Entrance Examination extended continuously, the employment difficulties of college graduates are more serious. The proportion of first employment of college graduates are continuous declining. Minister of Chinese Education Zhou Ji said that the unemployment will be more than 25 millions in college graduates in the period of “Eleventh Five-Year”. Large numbers of college graduates majored in science and engineering are in defect of actual employability skills. The undergraduate education must be improved and reformed in order to solve the employment difficulties of graduates. University should strengthen the training of application-oriented talents. In order to realize the training of application-oriented talents, the application-oriented subjects' construction is a crucial issue. The teaching staff should be supplemented with the increasing students and the developing knowledge. The elective course setting and application is also an important part of undergraduate education. The teachers of elective courses can be invited from other specialty, other college, other university, even companies and enterprises. For college graduates, the knowledge they learned in school may be outdated after period of time and lifelong education is inevitable. The college & university has the duty of affording and pushing lifelong education which can make sure of that the mechanism of training application-oriente- talents operated for long-term.
