Through the investigation on frame header (FH) structures of DTMB system, i.e. the digital terrestrial television broadcasting standard of China, spectrum sensing methods based on PN cross-correlation (PNCC) are proposed for all FH options. Miss-detection probability, decision threshold and sensing time requirement of the proposed methods are analyzed in detail. Comparisons on spectrum sensing performance, robustness to time dispersive channel and carrier frequency offset are made between the proposed methods and the existing methods based on PN autocorrelation (PNAC). Both theoretical analyses and simulation results demonstrate the considerable advantage of the proposed PNCC methods over the existing PNAC methods.
