A high-speed, real-time method of CCD Image data storage system is introduced. It integrates data acquisition and storage into a single FPGA chip. A SATA controller is designed in VHDL based on the protocol SATA 2.6 and implemented by using the GTX in V5FX70 series FPGA. If several disks are combined to RAID, the CCD data can be stored into SATA disk parallelly with the virtue of high speed, real-time, stable and portable.
