This thesis is intended to elaborate on the multimedia listening activity of the effect on the learners' listening comprehension. In order to examine the learners' use of multimedia listening activity from DynEd software with a particular focus on learners' interaction with subtitles and transcripts in case of comprehension breakdowns, and investigate the learners' attitudes towards the multimedia listening activity by the computers in the language classroom, a teaching listening experiment. The research was done in the hope that it may call more attention to the CALL research as it becomes prevalent in foreign and second language classrooms. What is more important in this thesis is to draw the teachers' attention to the best use of the multimedia material in order to improve their teaching level.
