This letter will address only Section II of the manuscript, the "Superlens Effect." In this portion of the paper, the author claims that even though signals impinging at "grazing angles" cannot propagate and thus are evanescent within the lens structure, it is possible to enhance these evanescent waves by some form of output amplification. Through this means he proposes to cause the field intensity of the waves at the back surface of the lens to exactly match the field intensity of the waves as they arrived at the front surface of the lens.
