A method for precision measurement of AC voltage for frequencies lower than 20 Hz is described. It consists of a sampling voltmeter working as an integrating analog to digital converter and of a set of software programs. Comparisons with measurements made using the thermal converters of the national standard show differences lower than a few parts in 10/sup 6/.
