In order to access heterogeneous databases more conveniently, more flexibly and faster, based on the ideas of CSCW, Mobile-Agent technology and distributed computing technology, a new distributed data access model based on Multi-Task Cooperative mobile-Agent is presented. This model describes the general framework, the distribution of Agents and the function of agents. Finally, the model was applied to a data reporting system of Down-Hole work which improved efficiency of the system and enhanced self-adaptability, cooperation and intelligence of the system in comparison with the traditional distributed data access system and the existing mobile-agent system.
