In this paper, we propose a class of star L-QAM constellations constructed from two M-PSK constellations, where L = M2 and M is an even integer greater than two. For the proposed QAM constellations, we show that the maximum peak-to-average power ratio (PAPR) of OFDM is bounded by two and four, if the two input sequences are Golay complementary pairs and Golay sequences, respectively.
