This paper seeks to integrate the electrical system in the context of transportation and heating/cooling demands, thus allowing electricity to facilitate a move to cleaner and greener sources. Smart changes at this stage will entail a long-term and highly positive benefit for the production of an efficient, economical, renewable, reliable, sustainable, and stable power production system in the Province of Ontario. In fact, a full and comprehensive approach to the optimization of the electrical system offers the potential of realizing two significant goals: obtaining an essentially free spinning reserve and simultaneously achieving the most economical generation. By contrast, repeating the blackout experiences of the past will yet again cost billions dollars per event. A significant achievement of, and threat to, modern society is abandon with which energy is used for vehicles, electricity, and space heating/cooling changing the atmosphere, the landscape and even the way we think.
