Analysis of Heralded Single-Photon Source Using Four-Wave Mixing in Optical Fibers via Wigner Function and its Use in Quantum Key Distribution

In this paper, we use the Wigner function in order to determine the photon number statistics of a heralded single-photon source constructed from a photon-pair source using four-wave mixing in optical fibers. Having this result, we discuss the performance of a quantum key distribution system when this kind of single-photon source is employed.
