In this paper, the problem of H dynamic output feedback control is considered for time-delay systems. First, a new method is proposed to obtain the H performance criterion with decoupling structure, based on which the dynamic output feedback H controller is designed. Then, the results are extended to the time-delay systems and the dynamic output feedback H control problem is solved for systems with time-varying delay by employing the descriptor system approach. All the conditions are delay-dependent and are expressed by the linear matrix inequalities (LMIs) that is convenient to design the controller. Finally, an example is also included to illustrate the obtained results.
