We report on the fabrication and properties of high-Tc superconducting films, and discuss the possible origin of the linear resistivity. We further discuss the c-axis conductivity. We present data to show that the coherence length is 12 Å parallel to the plane and 2 Å perpendicular to the plane in the superconducting state. Tunneling data show that the energy gap is large, with 2Δ/kTc ≈ 7.
