Line art can be produced on the IBM 3800, as demonstrated by the figures in this paper, which contain no hand-drawn art. A character set that produces good line quality has been described, together with an algorithm that is matched to it. The relationship between the characteristics of the 3800 and character graphics as been discussed. Line quality has been presented in both qualitative and quantitative forms. Finally, the manner in which an illustrated report was obtained on the 3800 has been described in both text and graphics
